Managing Partner

To connect, involvement and originality are core values which I use to actively bring people and organisations together around the practice of geo-information in all its facets. With a background in the production and distribution of geo-data (photogrammetry and remote sensing), I am active since 2002 on the costumer and user side of geo-data. As a partner, project manager, buying advisor, but especially as an independent link and source of knowledge, I enjoy to help and guide our customers with their challenges in various geo-information related projects.

Specialisms: involved, results-driven, an eye for all the players in the field, translating knowledge into practical application, innovative thinking, connecting, steering where necessary with respect for interests.

Tamme van der Wal

Tamme van der Wal

Partner

I enjoy working with organizations and professionals to identify and obtain geo-information for strategic and innovative use. That is why in recent years I have been particularly active in agriculture, where geo-information is used in all forms, from farming to the European Commission. I am particularly interested in the application of satellite navigation, earth observation and drones. Nowadays in combination with IoT, data analytics and Open Data. Besides data collection, I work on the implementation and acceptance of technology in complex environments with conflicting interests. I also like to help organize the financing of projects and programs around the acquisition of knowledge, tools or data.

Specialisms: Identifying and analysing the user requirements and the translation into technical specifications; Supervision of innovations and identification of user barriers; Preparation of innovation agendas, roadmaps and strategic development lines; development of project plans and proposals.

Senior Advisor

After my study Geodesy (TUD) I started to specialize in (location-oriented) information provision. My specific role is to discover what information an organization needs and to support the customer by helping with the need to realize an adequate information supply. I have been doing that with great pleasure for over 30 years now!

Specialisms: (European) procurement of Geodata, -ICT and -services, determining functional information needs, to compose geo-information –visions, - policies, -quality monitoring and improvement plans, perform risk analyses and compile risk control plans, coaching employees in a new role.

Project advisor

As a trained Social Geographer and Planologist I approach issues in a disciplinary and integral way. These issues often have a spatial and social component in which the use of Geo information plays a major role. I am able to connect people with different business backgrounds and come to a supported advice with or for them. I have a passion for topography and I get energy from the challenges in the urban environment.

In my role as project leader of subsidised national and international research projects I have gained experience in managing projects and bringing them to a qualitative result. In my role as advisor in cooperation projects of government organizations, the needs of the user are central together with giving advice for the use of Geo information. Time pressure and divergent interests do not prevent me from being critical and result-oriented.

Jeroen Verschoore

Jeroen Verschoore

Project advisor

After graduating in Environmental Studies (specialising in geo-information), I focused mainly on the fields of agriculture and nature. From my agricultural practice I have 15 years of experience in precision agriculture. Within one of the largest Dutch farm I have worked on the implementation of various GNSS, Sensing and associated software technology. I was also involved in several large innovation projects that were carried out in the Netherlands in this area.

Specialisms: Bringing together various disciplines from practice to science, making different "worlds" transparent and to interact with each other (building bridges), analysing the requirements for use and translating these into a design, project management planning, roadmaps, organisation, software implementation and realisation.

Bauke Abma

Agrometeorologist

After graduating from Wageningen University, I worked as an all-round meteorologist for 16 years at the top 3 meteorological companies in the Netherlands. My specialisms are agro and nautical. After that I worked for several years as a teacher in the education of physics, mathematics and sports coaching, Now at AeroVision my position is filled as agro-meteo and geo-advisor.

Specialisms: broad knowledge, multidisciplinary approach, strong analytical skills,  to reduce complex systems to core values and practical solutions, technical.

"After my training as a geodetic engineer in Bonn and work as a scientific assistant at the TU Karlsruhe, I came to the Netherlands. As a consultant and project manager at Rijkswaterstaat and other companies, I gained knowledge and skills in the world of geo-information, particularly in photogrammetry, laser scanning, image processing and Remote Sensing. In addition, in recent years I have worked as a geodesy/geo-informatics teacher at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. I am looking forward to using my knowledge and competences at AeroVision for various geo-issues from governments and other institutions and for (international) research projects."

Event & Communication Advisor

Energetic, creative, and result-driven are words that describe me best. I have experience in organizing (inter)national events such as seminars, workshops and conferences. Within AeroVision I organise the events for the various projects - such as CAPIGI and the ICC - in cooperation with colleagues. I also carry out the communication activities for AeroVision.

Maggie Mulley

Maggie Mulley

Geo-data analyst & Advisor

My enthusiasm for Geodata extends to all disciplines: from remote sensing of vegetation to improving efficiency using scripting languages, I enjoy problem solving and thinking creatively to develop solutions to all sorts of spatial dilemmas. During the GIS Masters at Wageningen University I was able to develop some necessary data handling and visualisation skills, and am now applying these to the different projects we have at AeroVision.

Georgios Ntakos

Georgios Ntakos

Early Stage Researcher

My academic activity is related to precision agriculture and specifically, in the subject of variable rate application. I am interested in the practical application of optical remote sensing to detect the causes of crop heterogeneity which can assist our decision making. I work in AeroVision as a researcher and a PhD candidate for a Marie Sklodowska-Curie project (called TruStEE) where I will develop a practical methodology for crop stress detection based on UAV and satellite, multispectral or hyperspectral imagery. Working with AeroVision will give me the opportunity to acquire practical skills in the subject of Remote sensing and Precision Agriculture.

Independent advisor

I like to focus on advice on vision, strategy and policy and of course I do this best in the areas I know. I have extensive international experience and have previously worked at the Kadaster, in the software industry and for many years as director at a renowned engineering firm. I am both a geodetic engineer and a lawyer and I have a senior management education at Harvard Business School.
