AeroVision helps the CAPIGI Foundation in organising an exciting event: The CAPIGI conference on 9-10-11 April 2018, a Hackathon on space technology for biodiversity monitoring on 10-11 April and the Dutch National Drones Demonstration Day on the 11th of April 2018. Three linked events that together bring the latest advancements in agriculture.

The CAPIGI 2018 conference focuses on Performance Agriculture, where the management of farms for sustainable production is central. Keynotes from the European Commission, Wageningen University and Research, INRA, ProAgrica and COPA-COGECA set the scene.

Theme sessions cover satellite navigation, Earth Observation, Data platforms, Drones and Precision Farming. A dedicated session is devoted to the Monitoring of agriculture in general and of Biodiversity in particular as these are key elements in the digitisation and innovation in agriculture. Monitoring grassland for rewarding farmers for biodiversity is the central theme for the Hackathon. Intertwined with the conference, teams of data scientists, satellite specialists and botanists work together in the pressure cooker to come up with new out-of-the-box solutions.

A bus brings conference participants to the polder area where 20 companies are assembled to demonstrate their latest precision agriculture solutions, in particular related to drones. This Drones Demonstration Day is organised for the second time back-to-back with CAPIGI.
