Created by Tamme on 5/3/2019 2:22:14 PM

AeroVision collaborates with Dutch farmers organisation LTO Bedrijven to boost its innovative geospatial startup BioScope. LTO Bedrijven is a joint business activity of the three regional dutch farmers organisations LTO Noord, ZLTO and LLTB. BioScope combines satellite- and drone imagery with crop data and analyses for agricultural parcels. LTO Bedrijven invests in BioScope to make this technology affordable and accessible to its members.

Pragmatic combination of satellite and drone imagery for farmer's insights

In 2011 AeroVision started BioScope as a project of geospatial data suppliers in collaboration with Wageningen University and Research (WUR) and the European Space Agency (ESA). BioScope acquires satellite- and drone imagery for her customers - being farmers, agronomists and advisory services - and processes them into tangiable and actionable information products. BioScope provides soil-zone maps, crop scouting maps and machine task maps. BioScope collaborates with TerraSphere BV and Aurea Imaging BV for the image supply, and with Dacom and Akkerweb as customer delivery channel.
